Using video, photography, mixed media and prose, BORIS + NATASCHA produce twisted conceptual and socially critical works that explore the human condition. Each work is a popular culture Memento Mori, promoting the transience of life. They started collaborating in 2003, taking their pseudonym from the 1960s comic villains. Both have longer-standing solo practices, although for BORIS + NATASCHA, it is the content and not their identities or biographies that is of importance. Refusing to be identifiably photographed, they ridicule the 'artist as celebrity'. BORIS + NATASCHA spread wicked messages on T-shirts, emphasising each work's essence and critiquing the increasing role that marketing plays in art.

Their work has shown at Deichtorhallen Hamburg; Australian Centre for Photography, Sydney; Biennale of Electronic Arts, Perth; Fusion 5 Festival, Cannes; Athens Video Art Festival, Greece; Fridericianum Kunstverein Kassel and the Biennale d'Art Contemporain, Le Havre where their video work Meditations #1 was awarded the “Prix Partouche du Court Métrage Expérimental".

BORIS + NATASCHA share a fascination with language and the discrepancy of diverse perspectives, which might have come straight from a Chandler novel.
